Le Trial

Success is here!

I have not yet heard news from the troupe of M'sieur Orgon Poquelin. However, I have heard news regarding the Edinburgh Festival Fringe more widely.

I successfully auditioned and received a part in a production of Mr Kafka's 'The Trial' by the Theatre Belted Up. Rumour has it that the great Orgon Poquelin may even be involved in this production but this may just be hearsay.

I will be miming in this show as to be expected but I will also be talk-miming, a new and very specific but difficult branch of mime so watch this space! You can see me around 11.30 every evening of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Watch out Edinburgh, you better get ready for a Jacques Attack! Woop woop!

For these roles in this production I will be wearing a costume similar to the one in my Spotlight Photo just there in the corner. Instead of my usual more casual stripey-top beret combo, I will wear a tight black t-shirt and expose my hair, so for all the ladies out there, you're in for a treat. Well done! So, here's to the a summer!

Mime: Au Naturel

Below are my top three mime-a-likes that appear in nature :

1. The Badger
Look at their little black and white stripes on their face. They are pretty shit at mime but they almost hint at being dressed as mimes with their little Badger faces. Adorbable. Canadians eat them sometimes I here.

2. The Raccoon
Look at that petit critter. The black and white stripes here are more defined than its cousin the badger. Again, the raccoon is pretty shit at mime but look at that little mime tail, the unevolved relative of even the late Marceau perhaps. Who knows. Again, I hear Canadians eat them.

But these little creatures haven't got a say on that state of play when it comes to this guy...

3. The Zebra

Look at that. That is God's way of saying hallelujah to the mime. Look at these two zebras which are more or less Horse-Mimes. They are shit at actual mime but they are well on the way to achieving the aesthetic neccessessary. Well done Zebra aka the Horse-Mime, you have won todays competition.
